ABOUT
Claire is an Associate on the Energy team, where she supports clients on energy policy, regulatory analysis, and stakeholder engagement. She brings experience simplifying complex materials to support informed, timely decision-making in fast-moving policy environments.
Before joining Sussex, Claire worked across the energy, financial, and public sectors in roles focused on regulatory analysis, client service, and strategic communications. In the energy sector, she supported policy and regulatory files related to grid modernization and emerging energy frameworks. In the financial sector, she supported clients by delivering precise reporting and analysis to help them understand portfolio performance and inform investment decisions, while coordinating complex account changes and transactions with accuracy under tight timelines.
Claire also brings experience in federal regulatory administration from her time at the Canada Border Services Agency, as well as frontline healthcare roles that required sound judgement, professionalism, and responsiveness. Throughout these roles, she strengthened client relationships by anticipating issues, responding quickly, and preparing clear, polished materials to support confident decision-making by advisors and executives.
Claire holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Criminal Justice and Public Policy from the University of Guelph and is currently completing a Master of Public Policy at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. She is a recipient of a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) award for research on advancing district energy systems in high-density residential developments.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys classic literature, camping and hiking across Ontario, and recreational dance as a former professional.
