Greg MacEachern is Senior Vice President, Federal. With more than 25 years of experience spanning government, politics, communications, and public affairs, Greg advises clients on navigating complex political and policy environments across all levels of government. He brings deep expertise in government relations, stakeholder engagement, media relations, public advocacy, and strategic communications.

Prior to joining Sussex, Greg founded KAN Strategies and previously led and grew one of Canada’s leading government relations practices, where he advised a wide range of Canadian and international clients. Earlier in his career, he served in senior advisory roles provincially and federally, including as Director of Communications to the President of the Treasury Board and as part of former Prime Minister Paul Martin’s communications team.

Greg is widely recognized for his extensive network across government, business, and media, as well as his long-standing expertise in federal affairs. He is a regular political commentator on CBC’s Power & Politics and SiriusXM Canada Talks and has been frequently recognized by The Hill Times as one of Canada’s top lobbyists.

A proud East Coaster and graduate of St. Francis Xavier University, Greg serves on the university’s Board of Governors and maintains strong relationships across Atlantic Canada. His experience and connections strengthen Sussex’s federal practice while expanding the firm’s ability to support clients across the region.
