ABOUT
Molly McCarthy is an Associate on our Communications and Campaigns team with experience working across corporate communications, public affairs, and integrated campaign strategy across consumer, healthcare and technology sectors in Canada and the United States.
Prior to joining Sussex, Molly built her communications experience in the agency world where she supported issues management for a major loyalty program transition, developed strategic communications materials for national advocacy initiatives, managed paid digital campaigns and supported integrated communications strategies that generated significant earned media results.
Earlier in her career, Molly worked with Bodewell Group (formerly Kiterocket) in Phoenix, Arizona, where she supported communications campaigns across the technology sector. During her time there, she published an article in Greater Phoenix In Business Magazine examining the geopolitical implications of the North American semiconductor industry.
Her experience working across both Canadian and American organizations has given her a strong appreciation for the intersection of public policy, business, and strategic communications, particularly as it relates to cross-border collaboration and economic development.
Molly earned her Master of Mass Communication in Strategic Communication from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication while she served as a Graduate Assistant with the National Center on Disability and Journalism. She also holds a Joint Honours in Political Science and Health Studies from Queen's University.
Outside of work, Molly can be found road biking, alpine skiing and sailing.
