Corinne Boone Joins Sussex Strategy Group as Senior Counsel

Sussex Strategy Group is pleased to announce that Corinne Boone has joined the firm as Senior Counsel.

Corinne is an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Practitioner with more than 30 years of experience focused on the “business” of sustainability, climate finance and carbon markets, and executive leadership.

As a climate finance pioneer, she has been involved in the development of much of the foundation upon which the global carbon markets of today operate. Corinne has built businesses to become global leaders in carbon finance and the environmental consulting spaces; facilitated numerous multi-million-dollar innovative carbon market transactions between global corporations; advised on the establishment of high value climate funds; and mentored and led large multi-cultural teams around the world on major EPCM projects.

As the CEO of Climate and Sustainable Innovation, a boutique consultancy, Corinne provides counsel regarding carbon markets and pricing, sustainable finance, and ESG considerations. Prior to starting her own firm, Corinne was the Managing Director of Hatch’s Environmental Services Group, where she was globally responsible for environment, community, climate, and overall sustainability considerations as well as annual corporate sustainability reporting. She also co-founded a greenhouse gas (GHG) brokerage subsidiary for global financial services company Cantor Fitzgerald and developed it to become a global leading carbon market brokerage firm.

Active on several boards, Corinne serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Energy Research Institute, LosAndes Copper Ltd., EfficiencyOne, and the Halifax Climate Investment, Innovation, and Impact Fund.

Corinne is a Certified Corporate Director (CDI.D) and holds the ESG Global Competent Boards Designation (GCB.D). She holds a Master of Environmental Studies from York University and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Thomas University.

Sussex is thrilled to offer Corinne’s unparalleled expertise to our clients who are navigating the complex nature of carbon markets, climate finance, and sustainability reporting, in Ontario and markets across Canada.
