Ontario PC Party

• Doug Ford joined party leaders in North Bay for the Leaders’ Debate, highlighting his vision for Ontario. He emphasized Northern Ontario’s role in economic growth, the potential of the Ring of Fire, and establishing Ontario as a critical mineral superpower. (See more)
• PC candidates Graydon Smith and Prabmeet Sarkaria visited Seguin Township to announce a $530 million investment in Northern Ontario. Their plan includes six new water bombers for wildfire response, partnering with First Nations to widen Highway 69, and restoring the Northlander train service. (See more)
• While in Milton, Doug Ford outlined his plan to protect Ontarians from Trump’s ongoing threats against Canada’s sovereignty and economic security. His plan includes abolishing internal trade barriers, supporting cross country infrastructure projects, developing our critical minerals and natural resources, and strengthening Canada’s defence sector. • Doug Ford receives additional endorsements from the Carpenters’ Regional Council and the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.  

Ontario Liberal Party

• During the Leaders’ Debate, Bonnie Crombie reaffirmed her commitment to building affordable homes by cutting hidden taxes, supporting those struggling with mental health and addiction, fixing the healthcare system, and attracting more jobs to the province. (See more)
• Bonnie Crombie claimed she is the only leader in the election race who has committed to cutting taxes. She promised to cut the income tax for middle-class families and eliminate HST on home heating and hydro bills. (See more)‍

Ontario NDP

• Marit Stiles claimed victory in the debate and that Northerners are ready for her to be the next premier. She criticized the Liberals and Conservatives for neglecting the North by extracting resources without reinvestment. She promised to reverse the damage through lowering the cost of living and increasing opportunities. (See more)
• Marit Stiles was in Thunder Bay, where she promised to make highways safer in Northern communities. Her plan includes widening highway 11/17 and 69, ending private highway maintenance contracts, increasing training for truckers, and more. (See more)‍
